Reservation

Q1.Do I need an advance reservation to rent a car?

If a car is available on the date you would like to rent then it is possible to rent. However, there may be cases in which the car of your choice is fully booked. Therefore, making an advance reservation is recommended.

Q2.Is it acceptable for the person driving the car to be not the same person as the one who made the reservation?

In principle, the person who made the reservation and the person renting the car should have the same name. Please be advised that you are required to make your reservation under the same name as stated on your passport.

Q3. How can I make a reservation?

To secure your rental car, an advanced reservation is recommended. For your convenience, you can go to the website below to make your reservation (Select your desired pick-up shop first, then click "Book this office" button. )

Q4.From when can I make a reservation?

Toyota Rent a Car's online reservations are available from 3 months before the pick-up date, while reservations through email/phone are available from 6 months before the return date.

Q5.Are there cancellation charges for canceling a reservation?

Yes. The prescribed cancellation charges as stated below will be charged.
Cancelling 7 days or more before the scheduled rental day: Free of charge
Cancelling 3-6 days before the scheduled rental day: 20% of the estimated basic rental fee
Cancelling 1-2 days before the scheduled rental day: 30% of the estimated basic rental fee
Cancelling on or after the scheduled rental day: 50% of the estimated basic rental fee
You can either cancel your reservation online, or you can email us at rs-sapporo@st-g.co.jp prior to your pick-up. If you made your reservation through an agency, please contact the agency who carried out your reservation for all cancellation/change requests.

Q6.How do I change or cancel my reservation?

• If you made your reservation through Toyota Rent a Car's official website, you can view, modify, or cancel your reservation by clicking here.

Q7.What should I do if I'm running late to pick up my rental car?

Please Contact your pick-up shop ASAP. Please note that the reservation may be cancelled if the rental car agreement has not been signed within 1 hour after the scheduled pick-up time.
